Fueling the climb: how momentum, agility, and teamwork are powering our next chapter

At Rainforest, speed isn’t just a strategy. It's part of our DNA. 

As an agile startup in high-growth mode, we move fast, stay focused, and rally hard around the opportunities ahead. That mindset was on full display during our recent Q2 2025 Onsite —a powerful week that brought the entire company together in Atlanta to connect, build, reflect, and charge ahead.

This wasn’t just a team retreat. It was a milestone moment: the close of a transformative fiscal year, and the launchpad into our next phase of growth.

A week built for acceleration

Every quarter, we bring our full team together for in-person working sessions, deep-dive discussions, and some well-earned fun. But our Q2 onsite hit differently. It reflected just how quickly our business is scaling and how committed we are to staying focused and fast-paced as we grow.

We rolled up our sleeves in working sessions that cut across product and engineering, platform experience, go-to-market, and finance. These allowed us to work cross-functionally and in person to challenge perceptions and form attach plans on billing, product roadmap, residual reporting, and more. 

These aren’t just workshops. They’re how we stay sharp, iterate fast, and keep our edge as the business evolves.

A year of growth, a future of possibility

Bi-weekly All Hands meetings are part of our regular operating cadence. But during the onsite, we went beyond our usual bi-weekly status updates to reflect on how far we’ve come and zoom forward into what’s next. 

Joshua shared a powerful review of our progress since last June: the milestones hit, the lessons learned, and the upward momentum we’re riding into the future.

At the heart of our success? Relentless focus and continued investment in people, process, and product. And the belief that you scale best when you stay scrappy, transparent, and thoughtful about leverage.

Joshua laid out four key principles that are shaping how we work in this next phase of growth to help us stay aligned towards success:

But even better during the All Hands, we didn’t just hear from the top—we heard from across the organization. Team members shared lessons from closing enterprise deals, navigating risk, innovating on our ledger product, migrating merchants, and how AI is influencing our marketing efforts. These voices reflect the depth of talent and ownership powering our growth every day.

Building a business and a culture

No onsite is complete without time to relax and connect on a personal level. 

During Q2’s onsite each year, we have what we call our Summer Bash. This tradition is special. Not just because it marks our fiscal year-end, but because we welcome +1s to join us and see the people behind the Slack messages and Zoom calls. 

It’s a reminder that while we move fast, we never lose sight of the people building the Rainforest together. This year, we enjoyed the open-air, great food, and even better company and Painted Park in Inman Park.

What’s next

The pace Rainforest is moving at is fast—but it’s intentional. 

We’re scaling quickly because we’re building the right things, with the right people, at the right time. And we know growth like this doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a result of clarity, focus, and a team willing to sprint hard, iterate fast, and stay humble.
